The Beta Theta Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., representing the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, earned top awards at the 72nd Southwestern Regional Conference in April in Overland Park, Kan.
Competing against chapters from across the region, the Beta Theta Chapter clinched several awards, reaffirming its dedication to excellence and service within the fraternity and the community, according to a news release.
Honorees and awards included:
Patrick Knight — Oratorical Debate: Recognizing outstanding prowess in public speaking and debate skills.
Ky’Lik Rich — Social Action Champion: Presented by the International Director of Social Action, acknowledging exemplary dedication to social activism and community engagement.

Most Service Hours in the Southwestern Region — demonstrating unparalleled commitment to service and making a positive impact on the community.
Collegiate Bigger Better Business Chapter of the Year — highlighting excellence in promoting entrepreneurship and business acumen among collegiate members.
Patrick Knight Rising Star Award — presented by the 36th International President of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. This award honors emerging leaders within the fraternity.
Miss PBS Emani Washington — the second runner-up in the Regional Miss Phi Beta Sigma Pageant, recognizing outstanding poise, talent, and representation.
Emani Washington — Most Photogenic, acknowledging exceptional photographic presence and charisma.
International Collegiate Social Action Awards — Beta Theta. This award recognizes the chapter’s impactful social activism initiatives at an international level.
Beta Theta, second place, International Most Initiated Members — commending the chapter’s success in recruitment and initiation efforts on an international scale.
