Pine Bluff police and agents from the Arkansas Alcoholic Beverage Commission conducted compliance checks last week on liquor stores and convenience stores selling alcohol to minors.
Police Lt. JoAnn Bates reported that of the 21 establishments checked, four were cited for unknowingly furnishing alcohol to a minor, a misdemeanor offense.
Bates said with April and May being prom m0nths and the beginning of summer, random compliance checks will continue.
The names and locations of the businesses issued citations was not immediately available.
Bates said the department and Alcoholic Beverage Commission “would like to thank those establishments that were in compliance.”
