Former UAPB star Armstead finishes season in NFL Pro Bowl

Former University of Arkansas At Pine Bluff football player Terron Armstead concluded his 2019 season Sunday afternoon by competing in the NFL Pro Bowl in Orlando, Fla.

Armstead was voted to his second straight Pro Bowl and played for the National Football Conference, of which the New Orleans Saints are a member of. Armstead and his teammates lost to the AFC All-Stars, 38-33.

Armstead was a third-round pick out of UAPB in the 2013 NFL Draft. Just completing his seventh professional season, Armstead was selected to his second straight Pro Bowl this season in helping New Orleans to a 13-3 record and the Saints’ third-straight NFC South Division title.

This season, Armstead was named as the Saints’ Man of the Year for his community impact and is a finalist for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award, which will be announced this Saturday night in Miami.
