FRIENDSHIP ASPIRE ACADEMY PINE BLUFF ELEMENTARY, 3911 S. Hazel St. Date of inspection Oct. 20. Observed an accumulation of flies. Insect control devices are designed to retain the insect within the device, not be located over a food prep area and in a manner that prevents dead insects and insect fragments from getting into food, equipment, utensils, and linens and unwrapped single-service and single-use articles.

FRIENDSHIP ASPIRE ACADEMY, 3911 S. Hazel St. Date of inspection Oct. 20. Observed no paper towels at hand washing sink. Provide a supply of individual disposable towels or a continuous towel system that supplies the user with a clean towel or a heated-air drying device at each handwashing sink in food preparation, toilet and warewashing areas. Observation: Observed flies in establishment. Corrective Action: Maintain the premises free of insects, rodents, and other pests. The presence of insects, rodents, and other pests shall be controlled to eliminate their presence on the PREMISES by (A) Routinely inspecting incoming shipments of FOOD and supplies; (B) Routinely inspecting the PREMISES for evidence of pests; (C) Using methods, if pests are found, such as trapping devices or other means of pest control and (D) Eliminating harborage conditions.
KIDZ LIGHT ACADEMY DAYCARE, 1801 S. Olive St. Date of inspection Oct. 28. At least one EMPLOYEE that has supervisory and management responsibility and the authority to direct and control FOOD preparation and service shall be a certified FOOD protection manager who has shown proficiency of required information through passing a test that is part of an ACCREDITED PROGRAM. Observation: Need to clean nonfood contact surfaces. Corrective Action: Nonfood contact surfaces shall be kept free of an accumulation of dust, dirt, food residue, and other debris.
ELIOR NORTH AMERICA @ROBERT MOREHEAD MIDDLE SCHOOL, 2602 Fluker St. Date of inspection Oct. 28. Observed hand washing sink blocked. A handwashing sink shall be maintained so that it is accessible at all times for employee use, and do not use for purposes other than handwashing. Boxes were removed during time of inspection. Observation: Walk-in freezer door needs to be repaired.

Provide a supply of individual disposable towels or a continuous towel system that supplies the user with a clean towel or a heated-air drying device at each handwashing sink in food preparation, toilet and warewashing areas. Paper towels were placed in the restroom during the inspection.
CHEF LEE, 502 Mallard Loop. Date of inspection Oct. 29. Observed several containers of food in reach in cooler being stored uncovered. Except during cooling, food shall be stored in packages, covered containers, or wrappers. Containers were covered during the inspection. Observed foods sitting out to thaw. Time/Temperature Control for Safety (TCS) Food shall be thawed (A) Under refrigeration that maintains the FOOD temperature at 41°F or less, (B) Completely submerged under running water 70°F or less with enough velocity to float off loose particles down the drain and maintains the food below 41°F, or (C) as part of the cooking process. Observed food in containers being stored on the floor in the walk in coolers and storage area. Food shall be protected from contamination by storing in a clean dry location where it is not exposed to splash, dust, or other contamination and at least 6 inches above the floor. Observed several parts of the floor in disrepair. The PHYSICAL FACILITIES shall be maintained in good repair. Observed an accumulation of food debris on the floors. Clean the physical facilities as often as necessary to keep them clean.
