Inspections are made unannounced by environmental health specialists.

DOLLAR GENERAL, 5104 Dollarway Road. Date of follow-up inspection Feb. 13. Several ceiling tiles throughout the store are damaged. The PHYSICAL FACILITIES shall be maintained in good repair.
DOLLAR GENERAL, 5104 Dollarway Road. Date of follow-up inspection Feb. 6. Orange juice (43 degrees F) in the overflow dairy cooler is out of safe temperature range. Time/Temperature Control for Safety (TCS) Foods shall be kept cold at a temperature of 41.0°F or below, as measured by an internal probe thermometer, to limit bacterial growth. The manager said that a part had to be ordered for the cooler. The time/temperature sensitive foods should be moved into a working cooler until the overflow cooler can be repaired. Several ceiling tiles throughout the store are damaged. The PHYSICAL FACILITIES shall be maintained in good repair.

KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN, 3002 Pines Mall Drive. Date of inspection Feb. 14. The cabinets under the drink fountain in the self service area are visibly soiled. Nonfood contact surfaces shall be kept free of an accumulation of dust, dirt, food residue, and other debris. Observed trash cans in the kitchen containing food residue that are being stored uncovered when not in continuous use. Trash cans in the kitchen that contain food residue should be covered when not in continuous use. Observed several missing floor tiles in the kitchen by the fryers are missing or damaged and need to be replaced. The PHYSICAL FACILITIES shall be maintained in good repair. Floors in the kitchen, especially under shelving and fryers, are unclean. Clean the physical facilities as often as necessary to keep them clean.
