Inspections are made unannounced by environmental health specialists.

KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN, 3002 Pines Mall Drive. Date of follow-up inspection Aug. 19. Observed debris in the cabinets under the drink fountain machine in the lobby area are visibly soiled. Nonfood contact surfaces shall be kept free of an accumulation of dust, dirt, food residue, and other debris. Observed a leak on the water filtration system. The water filtration system should be repaired so that it does not leak. Observed trash cans in the kitchen containing food residue that are being stored uncovered when not in continuous use. Trash cans in the kitchen that contain food residue should be covered when not in continuous use. Observed grease build up on the lower part of the walls behind the cooking equipment. Clean the physical facilities as often as necessary to keep them clean.
KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN, 3002 Pines Mall Drive. Date of inspection Aug. 15. No paper towels provided at the hand washing sink in the women’s restroom. Provide a supply of individual disposable towels or a continuous towel system that supplies the user with a clean towel or a heated-air drying device at each handwashing sink in food preparation, toilet and warewashing areas. Observed food residue in the hand washing sink in the kitchen near the drive thru. A handwashing sink shall be maintained so that it is accessible at all times for employee use, and do not use for purposes other than handwashing. Observed a bottle of chemical being stored above the breading flour in the dry storage area. POISONOUS OR TOXIC MATERIALS shall be stored so they cannot contaminate FOOD, EQUIPMENT, UTENSILS, LINENS, and SINGLE-SERVICE and SINGLE-USE ARTICLES by separating the POISONOUS OR TOXIC MATERIALS by spacing or partitioning. At least one EMPLOYEE that has supervisory and management responsibility and the authority to direct and control FOOD preparation and service shall be a certified FOOD protection manager who has shown proficiency of required information through passing a test that is part of an ACCREDITED PROGRAM.

SUBWAY, 1017 Sheridan Road, Redfield. Date of inspection into complaint Aug. 20. At least one EMPLOYEE that has supervisory and management responsibility and the authority to direct and control FOOD preparation and service shall be a certified FOOD protection manager who has shown proficiency of required information through passing a test that is part of an ACCREDITED PROGRAM. Observed no violations pertaining to complaint.
JEFFERSON REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER, 1600 W. 40th Ave. Date of inspection Aug. 20. Mayonnaise (43 degrees F) in the wrap station cooler is out of safe temperature range. Time/Temperature Control for Safety (TCS) Foods shall be kept cold at a temperature of 41.0°F or below, as measured by an internal probe thermometer, to limit bacterial growth. The sauces were moved to another cooler during the inspection. The manager closed off and tagged the cooler during the inspection. They called maintenance to fix the cooler. Observed some grease build up behind the cooking equipment. Clean the physical facilities as often as necessary to keep them clean.
JEFFERSON JAVA-JRMC COFFEE SHOP, 1600 W. 40th Ave. Date of inspection Aug. 20. Observed some drink residue in the hand washing sink. A handwashing sink shall be maintained so that it is accessible at all times for employee use, and do not use for purposes other than handwashing. The hand washing sink was cleaned during the inspection.

All violations corrected during time of follow-up inspection.
