Food safety 11-8-14


The Arkansas Department of Health regulates the sale of food at establishments which include restaurants, bars, daycares, schools, grocery stores, convenience stores, bed and breakfast facilities, hotels/motels, mobile units and concession stands. Inspections are made unannounced by environmental health specialists.

The following are the results of food safety inspections conducted in the White Hall area by the Jefferson County Health Unit:

• Zaima Enterprises LLC, Highways 65 and 46, Redfield. Date of inspection Oct. 30. Review proper thawing method. Label and cover all food in cooler.l Controlling pests in establishment. Wiping cloths must be kept in a sanitized solution after each use. Make sure to wash hands when changing tasks and change gloves. Need sanitized test strips to test sanitizer levels. All garbage cans need lids. General cleaning needed throughout kitchen area. Make sure to date all meats and vegetables in cooler (corrected on site during inspection.)

• Plane Catering LLC, 1151 Lampkin Road, Jefferson. Date of inspection Nov. 4. No violations observed during time of inspection.
