First day of filing
The Jefferson County Clerk's office saw close to 40 filers for political office on Monday, the first day of filing. Candidates first went to the political party tables, located in the foyer of the courthouse, where they paid their party's filing fees. Afterward, they filed their paperwork with the Clerk's office stating their intention to run for office.
