The Family Community Development Corporation will present its third annual board banquet Saturday, Dec. 20, at 6 p.m. in the family life center of Pine Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 2101 W. Reeker St.
The event will help raise funds to support youth and family programs that target residents of the University Park neighborhood.
FCDC will be honoring outstanding pillars of the community for their time, talent and treasure in supporting FCDC and the community over the four decades. Honorees are Evelyn Blunt, Rev. and Mrs. L.K. Solomon, Lola Gordon, state Sen. Stephanie Flowers, Rev. and Mrs. William A. Shaw Jr., Henry Golatt, Alderman Steven Mays and Mr. and Mrs. Arnett Murphy.
