The University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture Jefferson County Extension Office, 500 Idaho St., will host a seminar on gardening basics.
The event will be held at the extension office from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Aug. 15, and participants are asked to pre-register by Monday, July 11.
The seminar will be conducted by Lee Anderson II, county extension agent. Topics will include when to plant, what to plant, when to water and when to apply chemicals or pesticides to a garden.
