Eternal Grace Out-reach Ministries, a non-profit organization that serves children and adults, is preparing to give prom dresses to disadvantaged students for the third year.
The Eternal Grace Prom Dress Giveaway will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 1, at 3820 S. Olive St.
Organizers are also seeking donations of prom dresses, makeup, jewelry and male attire, the Rev. Tonya Boyce, president and chief executive officer of Eternal Grace, said in a news release.
The Eternal Grace’s Prom Dress Giveaway began as a Girl Scout project to provide prom dresses to teenage girls whose families were financially challenged.
Eternal Grace wants to give girls an opportunity to wear beautiful dresses to their prom this year. The organization held its annual dress drive event to collect donated items in 2015.

“Eternal Grace is grateful for the generous support of many during the last two years,” Boyce said. “We served many girls during the prom dress giveaway the first year, thanks to Minister Larry Kirklin, and believe we will see many more girls during our 2017 giveaway event.”
Dresses are subject to availability at the give away.
