Epsilon Sigma Alpha discusses bake sale, Bunco benefit at recent meeting

The Pine Bluff Sigma Nu Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha held its regular business meeting in the home of Patty Membrey.

The meeting was co-hosted by Donna L. Brown. Other members attending were Wanda Waring, Avis Hood, Bobbie Joyce, Betty Jane Strong, Barbara Taylor, Kathey Wooley and guest Maria Neff.

Plans were finalized on having a bake sale Feb. 11 at Cranford Grocery at White Hall from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Proceeds will benefit Sigma Nu projects, Salvation Army, Red Cross, Jenkins Memorial Center, Easter Seals and St. Jude Research Hospital.

Also discussed was the third annual Bunco Benefit to take place Feb. 25 at the Pine Bluff Country Club from 3 to 6 p.m. All proceeds will go to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at Memphis. Please join us in helping St Jude, Participants will have the opportunity to play Bunco and win prizes. There will also be a silent auction. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 on the day of the event. Plans were made for the 2012 Spring Council at Malvern on March 10-11, and Arkansas State ESA Convention on April 20-22 at Winthrop Rockefeller Institute located on Petit Jean Mountain.
