The Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Economic Opportunities Commission will hand out food commodities starting at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, at Hestand Stadium. Food will be distributed while supplies last.
Applicants must meet the income eligibility requirements, including being SNAP/food stamp participants or meeting the state income guidelines of being at 130 percent of the poverty level. For a household of one person, the monthly countable income limit is $1,179. For each additional person in the household, add $414.
The applicant must provide a picture ID of the person requesting food and Social Security numbers and birthdays for all household members.
If the applicant is picking up for someone else, they must bring a note from that person with the Social Security number and name of the person picking it up.
