The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Tri County Rural Health Network will sponsor a free summit at Pine Bluff focusing on emotional wellness.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, at the Arkansas River Education Service Cooperative, 912 W. Sixth Ave. Free lunch will be provided. The public is invited to attend.
The focus is Emotional Wellness: Jefferson County Taking Action to Build Healthier African American Communities. Dr. Kenesha Bryant of UAMS will present findings on depression. Dr. Rhonda Mattox, medical director for the Arkansas Minority Health Commission, will be the keynote speaker.
