Edgewood Elementary School, 4100 W. 32nd Ave., will begin its Scholastic Book Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4.
“The book fair offers specially priced books and educational products, including popular series, award-winning titles, new releases, adult bestsellers, and other great reads from dozens of publishers,” a spokesman said in a news release.
The book fair will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 4-14. The community is invited to attend. Funds raised will help purchase books for the media center, classroom libraries and students.
Starting at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 11-14, a music program will be held and parents are invited to visit the bookfair with their children before and after the program.
The book fair will also include the All for Books program, where students can donate coins to purchase books for the school library and for children who can’t buy books, the spokesman said.
“Scholastic Book Fairs® then matches those monetary donations with a donation of up to $1 million dollars in books from The Scholastic Possible Fund, which distributes books to children in need through organizations, such as Kids in Distressed Situations, Inc. and the Kids In Need Foundation,” the spokesman said.
