To celebrate Earth Day, a community day of service is set for April 22 from 8 a.m. to noon.
A spokesman said volunteers should meet at First United Methodist Church at 200 W. 6th Ave where they will register and receive a light breakfast before heading out to perform projects in the community.
Those projects include:
– Pack Shack project to assemble meals for Pine Bluff citizens in need
– Improving local parks with Parks and Recreation
Independent reporting for Pine Bluff & Jefferson County since 1879.
– Community Cleanups in Pine Bluff neighborhoods
Schedule of the Day
8 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. – Registration for Projects
8:15 a.m. to Noon – Service Projects
Noon to 1 p.m. – Volunteer Appreciation Lunch
