Serenity Alexander had her third double-double in four games as the Dollarway girls basketball team defeated 8-4A Conference rival Dumas in the consolation game of the Pine Bluff High School Mid-South tournament on Saturday.
Alexander finished with 11 points and 15 rebounds in helping Dollarway to a 43-34 win.
Jayana Sanders scored 23 points, as the Cardinals improved to 2-2 on the season.
The Bobcats led 6-5 at the end of the first quarter, but the Cardinals outscored its familiar foe 13-10 in the second quarter for an 18-16 halftime lead. Both teams scored nine third-quarter points before Dollarway held a seven-point edge in the fourth quarter.
The Cardinal JV team hosts Pine Bluff at 5 p.m. Monday, while the varsity travels to Fordyce on Tuesday.
