Dollarway Career Exploration Camp set at SEARK

Dollarway School District will conduct a Career Exploration Camp at Southeast Arkansas College Friday, April 5, according to a news release.

Robert Morehead Middle School’s eighth graders will be able to explore various career clusters. The camp areas will include health science, industrial, manufacturing, human services, information technology and health and fitness.

“Career Exploration Camps are one-day learning experiences conducted at locations throughout the state in collaboration with the Arkansas Career Coach program,” according to the release. “Campers will hear from professionals who will discuss what they do and how they got into their chosen career field. Student campers will also participate in exciting hands-on activities and further explore their own personalized career guidance plans.”

Camps are free for students and lunch is provided. Parents are also invited to attend with their student. Students are required to pre-register at their schools.

The camps are funded through the Arkansas Department of Career Education Division of Career and Technical Education and Arkansas Department of Workforce Services.
