FORDYCE — Dollarway advanced to the championship game of the Fordyce Bank and Trust Classic with a 62-59 overtime win over Hamburg on Thursday night. The Cardinals (3-0) got five free-throws in the overtime period from Jonathon Liddell to take the lead.
Lawrence Allen led Dollarway with 20 points, as Jamal Burton scored 13 and Jaelin Scott added 11. Liddell also finished with 11 points.
At halftime, Hamburg led 30-25. The score at the end of regulation was 51-51.
Dollarway will play Fordyce for the championship at 8:15 p.m. Saturday.

FORDYCE — Shanice Murray led the Lady Bulldogs with 20 points, as White Hall improved to 2-1. The Lady Bulldogs will face the Lady Redbugs of Fordyce in the championship game on Saturday at 7:10 p.m.

HOT SPRINGS — The Lady Billies advanced to Saturday night’s championship game in the Hot Springs Hoopfest tournament with a win over the Lady Jackrabbits on Thursday night.
The opponent for the Lady Billies was unknown, as the other semifinal game was not finished when the score was reported.

MAGNOLIA — The Lady Pirates improved to 8-0 and advanced to the Southern Arkansas University tournament championship game. Aaliyah Block led Drew Central with 14 points.

At home, Jack Robey improved to 7-2 overall with a tight win over Dollarway on Thursday night. The Colts were led by Ladarius Skelton’s 10 points.
Travon King had a game-high 22 and Kendrick Hunter 10 for Dollarway (4-4), which trailed by 14 points with 2 1/2 minutes remaining.
Next for the Colts is a 7 p.m. game on Monday, when they travel to Dumas. The Cardinals will play at Dumas on Dec. 13.

WHITE HALL — The Lions won their 36th straight home game on Thursday night. Redfield was led by Malik Corley’s 14 points. The Lions improved to 9-2 on the season and 2-0 in conference play.
