The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff’s Golden Lions took on the tough Southeastern Conference’s Mississippi State Bulldogs (3-0) Sunday, losing 80-47.
This was the Golden Lions’ (1-3) biggest loss so far this season.
Last week, they lost to Texas Christian University by only one point. On Friday night, they took on Oklahoma in Norman, losing 66-58.
The Golden Lions faced an uphill battle the entire game.
In the opening half, Mississippi took an 11-0 lead. The Bulldogs had 11 offensive rebounds, eight steals, seven assists and three 3-pointers. By halftime, they led 41-19.

Golden Lion Shaun Doss scored 15 points, Chris Greene had 14 and Kylen Milton scored 11 points.
The Bulldogs led in shooting 46.8% to 29.5% and had a 46-34 rebounding advantage. The Golden Lions had 18 turnovers and the Bulldogs seized on many of those mistakes.
The Golden Lions play at Kent State at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
