The disaster recovery center at The Pines mall will close at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 9. Residents may still register through April 5 for federal assistance if they were affected by the severe storms in December and January.
The center has been operated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management. After the center closes, Arkansas residents can still seek assistance, get questions answered and check on the status of their claim.
Residents may call 800-621-3362 (FEMA). If residents are deaf, hard-of-hearing or have a speech disability and use a TTY, call 800-462-7585. If they use 711-Relay or Video Relay Services (VRS), call 800-621-3362. Details: www.disasterassistance.gov
