Memorial boxing tournament to take place
The Pine Bluff Boxing Club will host the Kyle Barber Memorial Boxing Tournament this weekend.
The boxing match, which is the first of the year for the state of Arkansas, will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday at Seabrook (6808 S. Hazel Street).
According to a release, there is predicted to be at least 20 matches taking place with six boxers from Pine Bluff fighting.

Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students and free for children under 5.

Ridgway sweeps Victory Christian
Allison Carpenter and Peyton Aulds combined for 15 aces as the Ridgway Christian volleyball team rolled to a sweep of Victory Christian at home on Tuesday.
The Eagles won by scores of 25-5, 25-15 and 25-11 over the Camden-based school.
In addition to her eight aces, Carpenter also had six kills. Aulds added four assists to her seven aces.
Chandra Wiley and Joy Byrd finished with four kills apiece for Ridgway, which improved to 5-8 overall and 4-5 in the Arkansas Association of Christian Schools.
