Didn’t take bullet
Editor, The Commercial:
No, Tom Cotton! Trump didn’t “take a bullet” for any reason. He had an ear nicked by a bullet and claimed profuse bleeding. The fellow who died and the two men who were severely wounded “took a bullet.”
The writers in the Democrat-Gazette part of this paper who have written of “the young shooter”‘ very conveniently omit any mention of him being a Republican. And none have speculated as to what he might have done if using a “bump stock.” Trump’s SCOTUS just ruled them legal since they’re not machine guns — but do very readily what machine guns do.

Elected Republicans who should, and likely do know better, persist in saying Biden is responsible for inflation. It is corporate greed! The product sellers control the prices paid by consumers. Raising prices paid the wages, raises they couldn’t avoid. But it avoided cutting the shareholders’ returns and preserved the positions of their CEO’s. But liars lie and supporters of liars can be expected to lie as well.
Our governor slimes Biden for federal spending — but readily accepts federal money from FEMA and requests extra as well. She and the state benefit from Biden’s infrastructure expenditures that none of our federal elected personnel voted for, but all are glad to get!
We have a veto proof cabal who can and did foist upon us what we didn’t want or ask for. Our only recourse is a questionable stacked Republican Supreme Court, if we can afford the needed lawyers.
