At approximately 7:30 a.m. Sunday, a supervisor from the Dub Brassell Adult Detention Center found contraband in the form of tobacco and suspected marijuana on a member of the Clean Team, which allows for people to work at the facility as part of their sentence rather than being detained.
The jail supervisor noticed the smell of marijuana coming from a team member and further investigation revealed a package on her person containing approximately 3.2 ounces of suspected marijuana and approximately 7 ounces of tobacco, according to a news release.
Tamara Haltiwanger, 20, was later booked into the jail on the charge of furnishing prohibited articles and possession of a scheduled VI controlled substance with the purpose to deliver. Haltiwanger will appear at a probable cause hearing at a later date.
