Deputy Mauricia Bennett of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office graduated Aug. 2 from the Basic Law Enforcement Training Course at the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy in Camden.
This 13-week, 585-hour course is designed to train students in the basic duties of a law enforcement officer who serves in the state of Arkansas. Upon completing this course and completing a one-year probationary period, deputies will be certified law enforcement officers in Arkansas, according to a news release.
“We are proud of Deputy Bennett’s hard work, resilience and dedication displayed during this training period and look forward to seeing her move forward in her career as a law enforcement officer with the JCSO,” a spokesman said.
