The Delta Regional Community Services Outreach Network, Inc. and its Delta Network Food Bank are hosting the Second Annual Community Service Awards Banquet at 6 p.m. on Saturday. The banquet will be held in the Family Life Center of the St. Luke United Methodist Church at 32 School Street in Pine Bluff.
“We will honor Community Service Champions from Pine Bluff/Jefferson County and the State of Arkansas. These individuals have contributed much to help to meet the needs of individuals and families,” a news release said.
Honorees for this year are: Annette Dove – TOPPS – Pine Bluff; Leslie Dorn and the United Way of Southeast Arkansas – Pine Bluff; Jeanette Lightfoot with the Southeast Arkansas RSVP – Pine Bluff; Bishop Chester Thompson with the Zion Hill Human Services Agency and the John Kelley Edwards Kidz Crusade – Camden; Bishop Carl Ratliff with the S. R. Chambers Outreach Center in Little Rock; Stephanie Vardaman – American Red Cross Pine Bluff.
The event is free and open to the public.
“We will also be celebrating our volunteers who have given their time and service to help the Network make a difference in the lives of the citizens we serve locally and in the Arkansas Delta Region.
