The Commercial will run political announcements for candidates free until Aug. 17, the last day for municipal candidates to file. After Aug. 17, candidates should contact the advertising department for ad prices.
School board candidates may also submit announcements until that day. The school board election is Sept. 18.
The general election, which will include races for offices such as mayor and aldermen, will be held Nov. 6.
Announcements may be brought to the newsroom at The Commercial, 300 Beech St.; mailed to P.O. Box 6469, Pine Bluff, AR, 71611; by fax to 534-0113 or emailed to pbcnews@pbcommercial.com. A photo may also accompany the announcement.
