The DynamiK Diamondz and O.N.Y.X. (Opportunities Unlimited for Young men to eXcel) Enrichment Dance Teams have extended the registration deadline until 5 p.m. Friday.
The enrichment dance teams are open to female and males ages 12 to 17. There is a $50 registration fee per child and each child must be cleared through a medical physical.
High school seniors and college students, with dance/step experience are also needed as volunteers, to choreograph and teach routines, and assist in other areas.
The DynamiK Diamondz enrichment dance team was founded by Kade’dra Rashawn Washington in 2009, which immediately led to the founding of the O.N.Y.X. dance team. In memory of the dance teams’ founder, the DynamiK Diamondz and O.N.Y.X. Enrichment Dance Teams are part of IDEAS EMERGE Inc., Kade’Dra Rashawn Washington Initiative and Team Kade’Dra.
IDEAS EMERGE Inc., is a non-profit organization that aims to improve the living, working and playing conditions of individuals and families, thus bettering the community.
The Kade’Dra Rashawn Washington Initiative is composed of programs aimed at youth enrichment. Team Kade’Dra is composed of individuals, businesses, etc., who support, by utilizing T-shirts, signs, etc., with an official Team Kade’Dra logo, aimed at sending educational messages pertaining to gun crimes.
