Cultural Fest set for Tuesday at UAPB

The annual Cultural Fest will be held at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff from 6 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. Tuesday. Hosted by Janette Wheat’s Families Across Cultures Class, the fest will take place in the Adair-Greenhouse Home Economics Building Auditorium.

The theme is “Around the World in One Night: Expressing Colors of the Winds.” The event will feature food from various cultures, an international fashion show, jazz and oldies, and a dramatic monologue by retired teacher and UAPB alumna Birlee Lever. Margaret Boyd-Owens, owner of D Virtuous Divas’ Boutique in Pine Bluff, will serve as fashion show commentator.

The Cultural Fest is free to the public but attendees are asked to prepare or bring a food dish to share. For more information, contact Wheat at (870) 575-8808 or email her at wheatj@uapb.edu.
