Crop pest scouting schools set at McGehee, Jonesboro

Extension specialists and county agents with the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture will present insect and disease scouting schools.

At McGehee, the full-day session will begin with registration at 8 a.m. Monday, June 4, at Hoots BBQ. The schedule is available at http://www.arkansas-crops.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/2018-AR-Scout-School-Program-SE.pdf .

At Jonesboro, the full-day session will begin with registration at 8 a.m. Thursday, June 7, at the Craighead County Extension Office. Details are available at http://www.arkansas-crops.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/2018-AR-Scout-School-Program-NE.pdf .

Topics will educate participants on scouting methods and signs and symptoms of disease and pests, according to a news release.
