A positive covid-19 test leading to quarantines within the Alabama A&M men’s basketball program has resulted in postponement of Monday’s Southwestern Athletic Conference game at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
A make-up date has not yet been determined, according to a UAPB news release. Alabama A&M has also postponed its game at Mississippi Valley State, which was scheduled for today.
The postponement follows guidelines and protocols from the SWAC and its covid-19 advisory committee, both UAPB and Alabama A&M officials announced.
Alabama A&M (2-0) has not yet started SWAC play, having home games against Jackson State and Grambling State already put on hold. The Bulldogs have not played since a 93-90 double-overtime win against South Alabama on Dec. 19.
UAPB (2-8, 1-0 SWAC) is still scheduled to host Alabama State (2-5, 1-0) at 5 p.m. today in H.O. Clemmons Arena.
