Courtney Crutchfield and Charleston Collins gave Southeastern Conference fans a nationwide preview of their talents Saturday at the All-American Bowl in San Antonio.
The cousins from Pine Bluff competed in the annual all-star game for the nation’s top high school seniors in football, which aired live on NBC. No official statistics were readily available, but according to Pine Bluff High School Coach Micheal Williams’ count, Crutchfield caught 3 passes for 36 yards.
Crutchfield recently completed a 4-year varsity career at Pine Bluff, leading the Zebras to the 5A-Central Conference championship and a 5A state semifinal appearance last fall.
Collins, who lives in Pine Bluff but attends Mills University Studies near Little Rock, saw action as well. On3.com described Collins as “making his presence felt on back-to-back plays with a violent play” taking quarterback Jeremy Hecklinski to the ground as Hecklinski released the ball.

Crutchfield shared time with Little Rock Christian Academy quarterback Walker White, who officially signed with Auburn University last month. Crutchfield inked with the University of Missouri after decommitting from the University of Arkansas, where Collins finalized his verbal commitment.
