County votes in six local contests

Outside of Pine Bluff, six municipal races in Jefferson County involved two or more candidates.

None of the six White Hall City Council seats involved an opponent. That means Sara Lunsford and Ken Smith in Ward 1, Scott Ray and Franklin Johnson II in Ward 2, and David Beck and Joel Foster in Ward 3 will remain on the City Council.

All of the city council seats in Altheimer and Sherrill up for election were unopposed as well. In Altheimer, Jessie Culclager and Joycette Strong in Ward 1 and George Britton Jr. and Paul Manning in Ward 2 won unopposed. In Sherrill, Roger Keith Jacks will hold Position 2 on the City Council, and Mauricene Blackwell will be treasurer/recorder.

Two races in Redfield involved challengers: treasurer/recorder and City Council Ward 3, Position 1.

With 31 of 36 precincts reporting, the unofficial returns show for the following races:
