The Jefferson County Cooperative Extension Service 4-H Youth Development Program will be hosting a general interest meeting at 6 p.m. Oct. 27 in the Extension Conference Room, 500 Idaho St., to form a new 4-H Shooting Sports Club.
The club encompasses the instructional disciplines of BB gun and shotgun.
The program is designed to:
• Enhance self-confidence, personal development, discipline, responsibility, and sportsmanship.
• Create an appreciation and understanding of natural resources.
Independent reporting for Pine Bluff & Jefferson County since 1879.
• Provide volunteer instructors safe and proper instructional techniques and methods to teach youth.
• Give youth thorough, safe instruction and training in the use of firearms and teach conservation principles.
• Be FUN for all participants.
The 4-H Shooting Sports Club is available to all youth, ages 9-12. Adults that would like to volunteer and help with the club are encouraged to attend the meeting as well.
