The Jefferson County 4-H Teen Leader Club is reorganizing and recruiting new members. County teenagers ages 13-19 are invited to join the club. Membership is free.
According to Pia Woods, county Extension agent- 4-H Youth Development, this 4-H project club is designed to engage Jefferson County teens in experiential leadership, citizenship, and life skills development through the use of 4-H research-based curriculum. Teens will be actively involved in planning and conducting county 4-H workshops and camps and will have opportunities to serve in other leadership roles on the county, district and state levels and also serve as 4-H program spokespersons.
A variety of leadership and citizenship activities are planned for this program year, Woods said, including special guest speakers and Teen Leader Tours in November and March.
The schedule of upcoming 4-H Teen Leader Club meetings is:
• Monday, Nov. 3, 5:15 p.m., Jefferson County Courthouse lobby area.

• Tuesday, Nov. 11, 5:30 p.m., county Extension office located at 500 Idaho St.
• Tuesday, Nov. 18, 5:30 p.m., county Extension office
• Monday, Nov. 24, Teen Leader Tour, Little Rock. Eligibility for the tour will be based on meeting participation.
• Tuesday, Dec. 9, county Extension office
January through May meeting dates will be determined at a later time.
