The Jefferson County Conservation District reminds farmers that registration began Oct. 1 for wells and relifts used in 2015 to divert water.
Registration will continue through March 1, 2016. Wells and relifts must be registered each year by law, the spokesman said.
The fee is $10 per well or relift, due at the time of registration. Well registrations are also available by email.
Participants may visit the Jefferson County Conservation District at room 2114 in the federal building, 100 E. Eighth Ave., between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Details: Tess.Calhoun@ar.nacdnet.net or 534-3200, ext.101.
