A hearty congratulations to Jennifer Kline for the attainment of her Professional Community and Economic Development certification.
Kline is director of the Pine Bluff Regional Chamber of Commerce. She has been studying for this achievement for three years and was required to pass the PCED examination.
“This accomplishment demonstrates Jennifer’s commitment to fostering growth and positive change in Pine Bluff and beyond,” said the chamber’s weekly newsletter. “Please join us in celebrating Jennifer’s dedication and her impressive achievement. Her passion and expertise continue to be an asset to our community, and we look forward to seeing the incredible impact she will make in the years ahead.”
According to one online site that describes Kline’s new credential: “The PCED certification is offered through the Community Development Council (CDC), a national non-profit organization offering regional opportunities throughout the country for Community Development Institute training. Certification is available to community developers who collaborate with individuals to shape and guide the development and economic prosperity of their community, while making full use of local and external resources.”
Independent reporting for Pine Bluff & Jefferson County since 1879.
Kline, of course, has already been making an impact as chamber director. At any given moment, she has multiple balls in the air as she juggles this and that chamber-involved event in the Pine Bluff area. How she had the time to do all she does and also to study for this rigorous exam is anyone’s guess as she rarely seems to have “spare” time.
This new feather in her cap adds value to Kline as a chamber professional. And that type of push seems to be a thing with the chamber, given that Kline now joins Nancy McNew, who used to be chamber director but is now vice president of the Alliance and who has multiple titles behind her name, including PCED and CECD (certified economic developer).
Well done, folks, including Allison J.H. Thompson, who runs the whole show. You make us all proud every day.
