The event opens at 10 a.m. with a prayer vigil followed by other activities throughout the day. The celebration will honor veterans and the stadium built as a living memorial to their service.

“During the 2023 Salute and Ceremony, we celebrated Veterans Day, the 75th anniversary of War Memorial Stadium, the 70th anniversary of the iconic Chevy Corvette (an iconic automobile which is historically known as a small swift military combat warship dating back 300 years) and the 100th year anniversary of Arkansas State Parks,” according to the news release on Stuff in The Bluff.com.

The special guest speaker will be James A. LaCoursiere, national commander of the American Legion.

“We will present an official salute and ceremony, a special ribbon cutting ceremony by the Arkansas Military Hall of Fame, Corvette and Auto Show (all makes and models), historical military displays, educational displays, and various other military support and related displays. Displays will be presented along the concourses and gates of War Memorial Stadium.
