Police to present National Night Out
The Pine Bluff Police Department will present the National Night Out on Aug. 6 from 6-9 p.m. at the Pine Bluff Convention Center.
Everyone is invited to attend the free police-community partnership event, according to StuffinTheBluff.com.
“Described as ‘America’s night out against crime,’ this annual family friendly function will include hot dogs, hamburgers, popcorn, Bingo for adults, games for children, bounce houses, Police K-9, firemen, smoke houses as well as vehicles and equipment,” according to the release.
There will also be opportunities to enjoy conversations with officers and visit community awareness booths.

Area Agency plans menu
Area Agency on Aging of Southeast Arkansas is serving lunches from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. weekdays at the senior centers. Next week’s menu includes:
Aug. 5 — Chicken and broccoli quiche, salad with low fat dressing, Hawaiian fruit, bread stick and milk.
Aug. 6 — Open face roast beef with gravy on wheat bread, mashed potatoes, green beans, dump cake and milk.
Aug. 7 — Chef salad with low fat dressing, fruit, crackers, brownie and milk.
Aug. 8 — Smothered pork tip with noodles, brussel’s sprouts, bread, pineapples and milk.
Aug. 9 — Marinated chicken breast, pea and cheese salad, marinated tomato, cucumber, creamsickle pie and milk.
