The Pine Bluff Community Band will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a public concert at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 25, in the auditorium of Summit Baptist Church, 901 Ridgway Road, at Pine Bluff.
“The concert will feature marches, big band favorites, and a few pop-rock classics,” according to a news release.
The community band was founded in 1994 by Jerry Horne, who was the owner of Wallick Music Co.
“We want to celebrate our 25th anniversary with all kinds of great music,” Jerry Williams, band director, said. “All styles of music will be played, so come on to the concert and enjoy a fun concert.”
The band currently rehearses from 5:30-7 p.m. Thursdays at Summit Baptist Church. All interested players, including area high school and college students, are invited to attend a rehearsal.
