Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Economic Opportunities Commission will distribute USDA commodity foods at Hestand Stadium Wednesday from 8 a.m. until supplies run out.
Applicants for commodities must meet income eligibility. The criteria includes being on the food stamp program, being foster children or the household meets state income guidelines. For a household of 1, monthly countable income limit is $1,179. For each additional person in the household, add $414.
To apply for assistance, the household should bring a picture ID of the person requesting food, Social Security numbers, and birth dates for all household members.
Volunteers are still needed to help with sacking commodities Monday and Tuesday as well as distribution Wednesday. Details: Call the EOC at 536-0046.
