Pine Bluff Interested Citizens for Voter Registration Inc. will host Coffee with the Chiefs at 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, at Allen Temple AME Church, 1123 S. Virginia St.
The scheduled speaker will be S. Kyle Hunter, prosecuting attorney for Jefferson and Lincoln counties.
“Coffee with the Chiefs is an open community meeting which provides an opportunity for members of law enforcement and fire safety officials to interact with clergy, community leaders, organizations and residents, to exchange information and ideas for reducing crime, arson and safety issues in Pine Bluff,” according to the news release.
ICVR will honor two current pastors, the Rev. Robert L. Handley, the Rev. George H. Barnes Sr., and retired pastor, the Rev. Fred Arnold, for being “Keepers of the Faith,” and their involvement in the community.
“We encourage recommendations from the community, both male and female, however, submissions must have a minimum of 15 years in the ministry, a brief bio and picture included with the recommendation,” according to the release.
