The Interested Citizens for Voter Registration Inc. will host the Coffee with the Chiefs from 9-10 a.m. Tuesday, June 6, at St. John AME Church, 1117 Pullen Ave. The scheduled speaker is Beth Goodrich, executive director of the Arkansas Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
Clergy members are encouraged to attend and receive information regarding domestic violence.
“According to the Pine Bluff Police Department, during a six month period beginning Dec. 1, 2016, through May 1, 2017, there were 1,676 domestic related calls with 377 criminal reports domestic related,”Derrick L. Newby Sr., ICVR president, said in a news release.
