The Jefferson County Civitan Club has extended the deadline to Monday, Nov. 28, for entries in the Pine Bluff Christmas Parade.
The Christmas Parade is slated for 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3. Participants will begin lining up at 12:30 p.m. at the comer of Georgia Street and Fifth Avenue. All entries must be at the lined up by 1:30 p.m. All churches, schools, businesses, social and civic organizations are invited to participate.
“Your support and cooperation is needed to make this a positive event for the children of Pine Bluff,” a spokesman said in a news release.
To enter, participants should obtain the registration form (by email at Jeffersonccc@hotmail.com or calling 870-267-0875) and submit it by Nov. 28 to the same email address.
The entry fee is a minimum of two toys for the Santa Float that will be donated to the Salvation Army. Cash donations will also be accepted.

The parade awards include: first place float/vehicle, $300; second place float/vehicle, $150; and third place float/vehicle, $50. The first place band and drill team will receive a Christmas plaque.
“The Pine Bluff Advertising and Promotion Commission is making these financial awards possible,” the spokesman said.
