The Pine Bluff Church Outreach Committee and the city of Pine Bluff will host the third annual Pastors and Community Prayer Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, at the Pine Bluff Convention Center.
Held in conjunction with the National Month of Prayer, the event is free and open to the public. The guest speaker will be President Fitzgerald Hill of Arkansas Baptist College.
Co-chairmen are the Revs. Jesse Turner, pastor of Elm Grove Missionary Baptist Church, and Gary Bell, pastor of First Assembly of God Church.
A letter from the co-chairmen invites the community to fellowship. The goal for the faith community is to collectively pray for the city and as well as their own souls and the hardships they may be carrying, according to the letter.
“Pine Bluff is in need of a renewed commitment of forgiveness, healing and restoration,” according to the letter.
The lunch is sponsored by Tyson Foods Inc. Details: 870-730-2000, ext. 7.
