The Pine Bluff City Council is scheduled Monday to consider a proposed ordinance that would ratify already approved budget adjustments from 2015.
Pine Bluff Mayor Debe Hollingsworth said this consideration is a regulatory requirement by the Arkansas Legislative Audit.
“If there is carryover, it needs to be approved,” Hollingsworth said. “It is one final approval before we put the 2015 budget to bed.”
The agenda includes only one other item: a proposed resolution that would appoint Tyrell Jarrad Meadows to the Civic Auditorium Complex Commission. Meadows would succeed Richard Warriner Sr. and serve a term through Dec. 31, 2020.
Meadows attended the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and is currently employed at the university. He has experience with concert promoters in Pine Bluff and Little Rock, according to his application form.

Hollingsworth recommended appointing Meadows to the commission, saying he will be an asset to the city.
“Tyrell works with UAPB Football Coach Monte Coleman,” Hollingsworth said. “I think his passion and youth will be a benefit. He has talked about holding events at the convention center.”
The council meets at 5:30 p.m. Monday in council chambers at the civic complex. Committee meetings begin at 5 p.m.
