Volunteers from the Citizens on Patrol are available, upon request, to monitor the residence of someone attending a wake or funeral.
On May 1, 2013, the Pine Bluff Citizens Police Alumni Association began offering this service and the association is continuing the program in 2015.
Letters about the CPAA Funeral Assistance Program were hand delivered to the area funeral homes, CPAA President Mike Barbarotto said. The letters were delivered again as a result of the alumni meeting March 17.
In other business, the CPAA will also adopt-a-spot with the Clean and Beautiful organization and develop programs for high school students to help clean up the community. The alumni group also donates food to the St. Luke Church Feed the Hungry program on a monthly basis.
