Morgan White

BREATH OF LIFE CHURCH, 1313 S. Pine St., will hold its youth services Sunday at 10:30 a.m. The speaker will be Morgan White, a member of the church. White graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 2021 and from the University of Arkansas in December 2024, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in regulatory science. At UAPB, she is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in agriculture regulations and food safety. She was an intern for the U.S. Senate Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry Committee in the summer of 2024. She has worked as a program aide at UAPB Small Farms since 2021. She also had an internship with the Soil Health Institute in Mooresville, N.C., in 2023. White was a part Carolyn Blakely National Honors Society and a participant in the UAPB School of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Human Sciences 1890 Scholarship Program. At Breath of Life Church, Jennifer Lee is the youth director and the Rev. Kerry Price Sr. is the pastor.

NEW COMMUNITY CHURCH, 321 N. Birch St., invites the community to Praise and Power at 11 a.m. Sunday. Bring a red cloth and dress casually. The featured speaker will be Samuel Gibson, an elder at New Community. Patrick Lockett is the host pastor and apostle.

MT. MORIAH MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH in Gould will host the seventh anniversary of its pastor and wife, the Rev. Phillip and Jurmicka Puckett, April 6. At 11 a.m., the guest preacher will be the Rev. Travis Harden, pastor of Greater Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Pine Bluff. At 3 p.m., the guest preacher will be the Rev. Walter Witherspoon, pastor of True Harvest Missionary Baptist Church in Dumas.

ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH, West Sixth Avenue and Laurel Street, will host the Knights of Columbus annual Lenten Fish Fry from 5-7 p.m. every Friday in March and the first two weeks of April. People can dine in for the all-you-can-eat dinner or get carry-out plates, according to a news release. Dinners for adults are $16 and $10 for children.
