BREATH OF LIFE CHURCH, 1313 S. Pine St., will present its Youth Services at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. All youth are invited to attend. The featured speaker will be Kabion Ento, a professional football player with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League who mentors youth with Jefferson County Juvenile Division, according to a news release. Ento is a native of Pine Bluff, graduating from Dollarway High School in 2014. Ento earned a football scholarship to East Central Community College in Decatur, Miss., where he was named to the NJCAA All-Region 23 Team in 2015. After earning his associate’s degree, he transferred to the University of Colorado in 2016, graduating in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in sociology. He signed as an undrafted free agent with the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League, where he spent three seasons. In 2023, Ento signed with the Montreal Alouettes and played a key role in helping the team win the Grey Cup. In 2024 he was named a CFL East Division All-Star, according to the release. Beyond football, Ento is committed to his family, faith and community. He remains a member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church in Sherrill and has one daughter, A’Kyre Ento.
