UNION HOPEWELL MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 1121 S. Persimmon St., will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the pastor and wife, the Rev. Antonio Gayden Sr. and Loretta Gayden, at 2 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Clifton A. Conley, pastor of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church at Little Rock.

PILGRIM MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 2507 Hill St., will celebrate the 24th appreciation service for the pastor, the Rev. Kevin L. Crumpton Sr., and family, at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest minister will be the Rev. Brandon York, pastor of Smith Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. The theme is Leadership Worth Following – 1Tim. 5:17. The community is invited to come celebrate with the church on this special day.

NEW DIRECTION MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 3000 S. Louisiana St., will host the City Wide Mission at 1 p.m. Feb. 19. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Renice Davis, pastor of Bethany Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Julius McDade is the pastor at New Direction.

ST. BETHEL BAPTIST CHURCH, 4508 S. Main St., will present a Black History Program at 3 p.m. Feb. 25. The guest speaker will be Chancellor Laurence Alexander of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. Special music will be provided by Watson Chapel High School Choir and Duane Jackson, a minister. The public is invited to attend.

MORE: NIGHT OF WORSHIP 2.0 will be presented by Aaron and Kae Spencer at 7:30 p.m. March 1 at 8203 Dollarway Road (across from White Hall Junior High School.) Guests will include psalmist and worship leaders Dre and Alicia Rose, accompanied by Lekiesha James, Jazmine McCombs, Sarah Perry and Veronica Ware. “We are creating an atmosphere for worship for those who desire it,” says Kae Spencer. NEW COMMUNITY CHURCH, 321 N. Birch St., will host its Kingdom Builders program at 6 p.m. Feb. 25. The featured speaker will be Karen Wine, a member of New Community. Everyone is invited to attend. New Community’s pastor/apostle is Patrick Lockett.

FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH of Pine Bluff, 717 W. 32nd Ave., invites the community to a free concert at 3 p.m. Feb. 25 featuring Christopher Titko in an organ recital. The performance is dedicated to Pat Brown and her family, who funded the building of the French organ built by Petty-Madden in 1991 for the sanctuary of First Presbyterian, according to a news release.

FIRST TRINITY CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST, 800 S. Catalpa St., will celebrate its 55th Homecoming starting at 7 p.m. Feb. 23 with the “Back Home Service” featuring the Dewitt Hill Singers, the former Voices of Praise, and Homecoming 2024 Choir. At noon Feb. 24, a brunch will honor the former pastor, Dewitt Hill. On Feb. 25, the 9:15 a.m. worship features Superintendent J.J. Watson of Northside Church of God in Christ of Ft. Smith. The public is invited to attend.

HOUSE OF BREAD DELIVERANCE CHURCH, 1501 W. Second Ave., will conduct its monthly food giveaway Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or until all food boxes are gone. All clients will need to fill out the new intake form for 2024. Proof of address must be at least a driver’s license, picture identification or utility bill.

PLEASANT GROVE MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 1801 Indiana St., will be feeding those in need from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 24. The effort will be provided at the church’s soup kitchen and pantry, according to a news release.

THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS Annual Lenten Fish Fry is being held from 5-7 p.m. every Friday through March (except Good Friday, March 29) at St. Joseph Catholic Church, West Sixth Avenue and Laurel Street. People can eat in for the all-you-can-eat dinner or get carry out plates, according to a news release. Dinners for adults are $15 and children $8.
